Hey Fintech Nerds 👋

If you’re making your way home from Vegas today, safe travels. I miss you all already; the best thing about this time of year is seeing you all; the worst thing is that message I’ve sent twice already.

“How did we manage to be in the same place and still not see each other?”

Or you did find each other. You got past the hellos and into something interesting. A company you’re building, a problem you’re working through, something you might be able to do together.

Then somebody had to leave. There was another happy hour. Meeting. Or Interruption. And it’s WAAAY over the other side of the Venetian.

And now you’re back to trying to find a slot in the diary.

We got you.

There’s one more show before the end of the year. I’d love you to come.

NerdCon. San Diego. November 18–20.

Joy, Colton and I have pulled out all the stops to get the most ridiculous lineup possible. People like Nubank CTO Eric Young, Gusto co-founder Edward Kim and Plaid CTO Will Robinson. You can see the lineup here.

But as you all told me last year, the real star of the show was the density of talent in the room. The operator who’s already worked through the thing your team is trying to figure out. The founder whose company you’ve been following. Someone you could end up working with.

I want you to have enough time together to find out where a conversation goes and have a couple of days to deepen the relationships that matter.

Wanna whiteboard something? We got you. Want to sit down and work for a bit? Yep, we got you. Or you just want to network. Do it

You can also sit in the Multi-Player Lounge and have a proper catch-up. We’re very much in favor of that.

Because I suspect there are a few people leaving Vegas thinking, “We should spend more time together.”

In many ways, 2026 in Vegas felt like the end of an era. (IYKYK)

And the start of a new one.

We’ve put a place and a date on it.

Send this to the person you didn’t get enough time with. Ask them, “San Diego?”

See you there.
